In 2022, though, two months after the family broke ground on a large-scale renovation of the cottage, Park Township announced it would begin enforcing a ban on short-term rentals in residential areas.
The original Park Township Community Center was built in 1937, located on the Ottawa County Fairgrounds. The building was expanded and upgraded over the years, most recently in 1992.
According to Upper Allen Township’s website, the new park spans 58.4 acres and boasts a 4,600-foot paved walking trail. To learn more about the new Generations Park, you can click here.
The six governments will be awarded a total of $4,892,950. Fremont Township, in Saginaw County, will receive $600,000 to help fund the Eagle Creek Solar Park project.
