MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill. (CBS) -- Longtime Chicago Bears matriarch Virginia Halas McCaskey was laid to rest this morning. Mrs. McCaskey died Thursday, Feb. 6, at the age of 102.

Virginia McCaskey, the Chicago Bears owner and daughter of team founder George Halas, died on Feb. 6, 2025, at the age of 102.

Family and friends of Virginia Halas McCaskey will come together Wednesday morning to honor the late Bears owner.
