The Women's Super League (WSL) and Women's Championship have agreed to a new deal with Barclays to remain as the title sponsor of the leagues, it was announced on Monday.

Global bank Barclays has confirmed the extension of its various sponsorship agreements across UK soccer - including its title sponsorship of the top-tier Women’s Super League (WSL) and its agreement with the men’s Premier League (EPL).

The bank has also renewed its partnership with the Premier League, remaining official banking partner until 2029, and extended its partnership with the Football Association for a further three years to 2028, continuing its support for the Barclays Girls’ Football School Partnerships programme.

Barclays will remain the title sponsor of the Women’s Super League and Women’s Championship in a new three-year deal worth about £15m a season.

The three-year renewal is the biggest deal in women’s domestic soccer history and sees bank double its investment.
