Nearly a month after Cleveland was eliminated from the playoffs, a new report reveals that the entire NBA world may owe the All-Star point guard an apology. Shams Charania of ESPN reported early on Monday that Garland underwent surgery on the injured toe and will miss four-to-five months.

According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Cleveland Cavaliers haven’t had ‘substantive conversations’ with Orlando regarding a Garland trade. Furthermore, Cleveland has “little interest” in helping out an Eastern Conference contender by trading Garland to them.
