Eight months after launching, the Chicago Sports Network will finally hit the airwaves on Comcast, but it’s going to cost subscribers more to watch the White Sox, Bulls and Blackhawks.

What made Comcast, the dominant TV provider in the area, agree to end its blackout of CHSN after more than eight months? It certainly wasn’t the teams’ play.

The Chicago Sports Network will finally be available on Chicagoland’s main cable provider, according to reports. CHSN is expected to launch on Comcast via Xfinity’s Ultimate tier on Friday, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
