A 3-year-old child went missing from a hotel and in The Dalles on Saturday morning and was found in the Columbia River, later dying at a hospital.

Police say a young child visiting Oregon with family got outside the hotel and was found in the Columbia River.

The child, who was staying with family at the hotel, left their room and got outside the building. During a search, the child was found in the Columbia River.
