California gas prices declined from last week: See how much hereThe average fuel price in state declined about 17 cents since last month. According to the EIA, gas prices across the state in the last year have been as low as $4.09 on Dec. 23, 2024, and as high as $4.73 on April 7, 2025.

The average fuel price in state rose about 3 cents since last month. According to the EIA, gas prices across the state in the last year have been as low as $2.51 on Dec. 16, 2024, and as high as $3.11 on July 29, 2024. A year ago, the average gas price in Texas was 12% higher at $3.11 per gallon.
"Michigan drivers are seeing lower prices at the pump, with some metro areas seeing averages below $3 a gallon," Adrienne Woodland, a AAA auto club spokeswoman, said. "If demand drops, alongside low crude oil prices, pump prices may continue to fall."
