The funeral will begin at 10 a.m. and will be followed by a procession from the Parkview Christian Church in Orland Park to a cemetery in Alsip, Illinois.

A funeral will be held for fallen Illinois State Police Trooper Clay Carns, who died in a tragic accident while clearing debris from I-55 near Channahon, and is survived by his parents, wife, two children and law enforcement family.

The funeral for Trooper Carns will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Parkview Christian Church, 11100 Orland Parkway in Orland Park, Illinois. A private Interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trooper Clay Carns Memorial fund.

ORLAND PARK, Ill. — As American flags lined the path to Parkview Christian Church in Orland Park, law enforcement officers and loved ones headed to a visitation for fallen Illinois State Police Trooper Clay Carns. Parked outside was Carn’s cruiser, draped with purple bunting – a silent tribute to his sacrifice.
