New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced today that the club has acquired offensive lineman Luke Fortner from the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for defensive tackle Khalen Saunders pending completion of player physicals.

The Jacksonville Jaguars swapped Luke Fortner for New Orleans Saints’ Khalen Saunders after their Preseason Week 2 bout.

The addition of Saunders will provide needed depth to the defensive tackle position. Listed at 6-0 - 324 pounds, Saunders offers another run-stuffing presence inside and could fill a rotational role behind DaVon Hamilton.
