Roman Anthony hit a two-run double for his first major league hit to help the Boston Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays 3-1 on Tuesday night.

With two on and two out and in the first inning of his second major league game, Roman Anthony sliced a double into the left field corner for a two-run double, his first hit in the Major Leagues. Anthony became the third Red Sox player to record his first hit this season, joining fellow rookies Kristian Campbell and Marcelo Mayer.

Anthony, the No. 1 prospect in baseball, was promoted on Monday night and instantly made his presence felt in a tough extra-inning loss against the Tampa Bay Rays.
