The coach of Poland’s national soccer announced Thursday has resigned as head coach, days after a spat with star striker Robert Lewandowski.

Michał Probierz announced on Thursday that he was stepping down as head coach of Poland's national football team, following a high-profile dispute with star striker Robert Lewandowski and a crucial World Cup qualifying loss to Finland.

Robert Lewandowski says he feels betrayed by coach Michał Probierz and that it will be difficult to forget the events which led to him stepping away from Poland.
