The Mossad on Friday morning has led a series of attack operations and other missions in the heart of Iran. These operations are focused on harming Iran's strategic missile capabilities. They are also focused on harming Tehran's air defense capabilities.

Special Mossad units infiltrated central Iran and pre-positioned precision-guided weapon systems near Iranian surface-to-air missile (SAM) batteries. As the Israeli Air Force launched its aerial assault, these systems were activated and launched precision strikes simultaneously, striking key targets with exceptional accuracy.

Israel's attack comes as tensions have escalated over Iran's rapidly advancing nuclear programme, which Israel sees as a threat to its existence. Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said that the strikes “improve the freedom of action in the air” for the Israeli Air Force.

Covert units inside Iran used precision-guided weapons and vehicle-mounted systems to suppress air defenses, an Israeli security official said in remarks distributed to press.
