The Utah Hockey Club has claimed Nick DeSimone from waivers and the Los Angeles Kings have placed Arthur Kaliyev on waivers.

After claiming defenseman Nick DeSimone off waivers from the New Jersey Devils earlier today, the Utah Hockey Club had one too many players on their active roster.

Despite adding Olli Maatta back in October, Utah still feels the effects of the injuries to defenseman Sean Durzi and John Marino.

Utah currently has three defensemen on injured reserve, according to the NHL Media Site: Robert Bortuzzo, Sean Durzi, and Maveric Lamoureux. Former Devil John Marino has been dealing with an injury that has kept him off the ice this season as well.
