Taking a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Final, the Florida Panthers put forth another dominant road effort in a 5-0 win over the Carolina Hurricanes at Lenovo Center on Thursday. From a Game 7 win in Toronto to stealing two in Raleigh, not a bad business trip.
The Florida Panthers have just rolled into Raleigh and embarrassed the Carolina Hurricanes in the first two games of the Eastern Conference Final. In Game 2, the Panthers jumped all over the Hurricanes right out of the gate and cruised to a 5-0 win.

Florida forward Sam Reinhart left the Panthers’ 5-0 win against the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday night in the Eastern Conference final with a lower-body injury and didn’t return.
Carter Verhaeghe signed an eight-year extension after leading Florida with 11 goals in the 2024 postseason and 72 points in the regular season, following up that campaign with his fourth consecutive 20-goal season in 2024-25. Verhaeghe logged eight points (4-4-8) through two rounds in the 2025 postseason.
The Hurricanes have now lost 14 consecutive Eastern Conference Final games dating back to 2009. While Rod Brind'Amour was a player on the team and Jordan Staal was on the other bench as a Penguin at the time, it still hangs over the franchise heading into Game 3.
