Border Patrol agents raided a Home Depot in Sacramento on Thursday, alarming elected officials and prompting a searing rebuke from Gov. Gavin Newsom's office, who said they should do their jobs "at the border".

At least 11 people were arrested during a Border Patrol operation in south Sacramento Thursday morning, officials said. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said that they had received a call about armed, masked men in the parking lot of the Home Depot on Florin Road, near Highway 99, shortly after 7:45 a.m.

The Border Patrol began conducting operations in Sacramento on Thursday, as two federal court rulings have ordered them to stop warrantless raids.
