The big focus for Vancouver in this game will be getting shots on net. Against the Calgary Flames, the Canucks managed 24 total shots, with Brock Boeser, J.T. Miller and Jake DeBrusk combining for 13. Vancouver's depth needs to step up in the offensive zone, especially as Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson remain out of the lineup.

With captain Jordan Eberle sidelined after pelvis surgery and Seattle struggling with a five-game losing streak heading into the NHL's Christmas break, the Kraken needed someone to step up if they were to avoid a third playoff DNQ in four seasons.
