TEMPLE, Texas — Parts of Central Texas saw isolated storms push through Wednesday morning as we await another round of severe weather. For Wednesday, some storms could be on the stronger side with a few capable of large hail and gusty winds as the main concerns.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — South Texas is experiencing plenty of lightning and, for some areas, rain as the National Weather Service issues a severe thunderstorm watch until 8 a.m. Wednesday. So far, American Electric Power (AEP) has updated its outages based on counties, and we have included the estimated restoration time as the storm moves along.

Central Texas was hit by severe weather again Wednesday morning as thunderstorms brought heavy rainfall, strong winds and flash flooding to the region.The National Weather Service issued multiple warnings across several counties,

HOUSTON — Thunderstorms are building across the Houston area, bringing the potential for gusty winds, heavy rain, frequent lightning, and even isolated hail. Some storms are already triggering special weather statements from the National Weather Service as they roll in from the southwest.

Heavy rain inundated Texas, leaving about 150,000 customers without power. More severe weather, and possible flooding, is expected on Tuesday.

Nearly 60,000 people are without power in northeastern Texas on Memorial Day as severe storms bring damaging wind gusts, heavy downpours and hail to the region. Newsweek reached out to Oncor, Texas' largest energy provider, by email for comment.

The National Weather Service has issued warnings about thunderstorms striking throughout Texas, which is forecast to continue into Thursday morning.

Severe storms brought lemon-sized hail, tornado watches and flash floods to the Texas Hill Country and Fredericksburg during Memorial Day.

Storm surveys are underway following a night of severe weather across North Texas. As of Monday afternoon, at least one tornado has been confirmed near the City of Gordon, located about 66 miles west of Fort Worth. Gordon ISD canceled classes for the week due to extensive damage on campus from the storms.
