A somewhat rare November storm system is gathering steam in the Caribbean Sea. Tropical Storm Sara will eventually make a turn to the east and Florida.

Tropical Storm Sara formed in the Caribbean on Thursday afternoon and is expected to curl into the Gulf of Mexico and steam toward Florida next week, though forecast models no longer anticipate it might power up to a major hurricane — if it even becomes a hurricane at all.

A disturbance swirling over the Caribbean Sea on Thursday has now been designated Tropical Depression Nineteen, and forecasters say the system will likely strengthen into Tropical Storm Sara later today.
