A Russian airstrike on a prison in a frontline region in southeastern Ukraine has killed 16 people and wounded more than 30 others, according to Ukrainian officials.

Ukraine faced another Russian drone and missile attack early Monday, with air raid alerts sounding across the country for at least six hours since midnight Kyiv time.

The measure was in response to another combined drone and missile attack launched by Russian forces on Ukraine. It comes just over a week after Polish and Swedish armed forces scrambled aircraft stationed in Poland following a similar Russian attack.
