The Office of Personnel Management said it can process pensions entirely digitally, in two days, in a video promoted by Elon Musk's DOGE.

The memo asks agency heads to develop plans for reductions in force and reorganization that include plans to promote efficiency through tech modernization.

The Trump administration is arguing in court that agencies acted on their own to fire probationary staff, but it previously sent a government directive with a deadline for the firings.

The lawmakers said in a letter that agency heads should immediately tell staffers to not respond to OPM’s “ill-conceived email stunt” asking them what they accomplished last week.

The first email was sent last week, and asked employees to list five things they accomplished during the week. The next email is scheduled to go out on Saturday.
