Weeks away from the kickoff of the 2025 season, ESPN has revealed its official top 25 college football rankings, and as expected, it’s a lot of the SEC and Big Ten at the top of the preseason polls heading into the summer.

ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI) predicts the Kansas State Wildcats are most likely to win the Big 12. The Houston Cougars are projected to have the worst record in the Big 12, with fewer than five projected wins. Eight Big 12 teams have less than a 5% chance of making the College Football Playoffs, according to FPI.

Auburn's 2025 football schedule includes challenging matchups against highly ranked teams like Georgia and Alabama. ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI) projects Auburn to win 7.5 games and gives them a 21.8% chance of making the College Football Playoff.
