When it comes to the details, Google Wallet will pop a loyalty card to the top of the list and ask whether you want to upgrade the card. Prior to upgrading, Wallet explains that there are a variety of benefits in doing so, like better communication with the brand, new offers and perks, and "changes" to reward points.

Nearly 5,000 banks now support Google Wallet. If you see your bank on this list (or Google's main list), you can add your payment card through the Google Wallet app. Tap the "+ Add to Wallet" button on the bottom right, choose "Payment card," and then follow the setup steps.
