Bees Boards, a Templeton-based business operated by Paul and Bee Jones, has found great success creating custom-made cribbage boards. They recently sold hundreds of boards at the Big E in Springfield.

I would make a cribbage board and put it in there. At first, I never poly-ed them I loved the wood. I just loved it how it was, loved to see it weather, like a hardwood floor.

Cribbage is a card game that involves scoring based on hands. Traditionally, the score is kept with pegs on a wooden board with two or three sets of 60 holes.

Named for the northern Kandiyohi County area where he lives, Hanson's "Timber Lake Cribbage Boards" cost between $60 and $100, with a few especially unique ones going as high as $200.
