Australia's House of Representatives on Wednesday passed a bill that would ban children younger than 16 years old from social media, leaving it to the Senate to finalize the world-first law.
Australian prime minister Anthony Albanese announced on Nov. 7 what he called 'world-leading' legislation that would prevent children under the age of 16 from accessing social media.
Heman Bekele, 15, was Time’s 2024 Kid of the Year. Bekele invented “a soap that could one day treat and even prevent multiple forms of skin cancer,” the news magazine reported.
