Lake Nasser is a vast reservoir in southern Egypt's ancient city of Aswan and one of the largest man-made lakes in the world.
The Aswan Dam was formally completed on July 21, 1970. The reservoir, known as Lake Nasser, reached its full capacity in 1976.
