GIG HARBOR, Wash. — Two people were critically injured Wednesday afternoon after a 120-gallon propane tank exploded at a propane supplier north of Purdy in Pierce County, officials said.

An investigation into the large-scale theft of propane from an Adelanto business this week led to the recovery of more than 200 stolen tanks of fuel and 11 stolen cars, law enforcement officials said.
