The Madison County school district is adding a new middle school in Hazel Green to help with the rapid growth in the area.

The Madison County Board of Education approved the construction bid for a new middle school in Hazel on Thursday.

The ball is rolling on Madison City School’s 8th elementary school in the Limestone County portion of the district.
