The City of Ames’ new mini-pitch soccer court will be named “The Friedrich Pitch” thanks to a $50,000 donation.

The club opened its eleventh mini pitch on Friday at the Booker T. Washington Center on Front Street in Hamilton. The kid-sized pitch is designed for youngsters to learn to play soccer.
