A veteran New York Giants starter has warned draft flop Evan Neal about the challenges he faces switching to guard.

Van Roten, who played every offensive snap for Big Blue in 2024, is currently penciled in at the starting right guard spot. On Wednesday at the Giants' second OTA, he stressed to to the media the importance of continuity and depth. He's just another name on the depth chart.

While the quarterback position got the most attention, there’s still plenty of interest in the Giants’ offensive line. And while the Giants will have some new faces in their offensive line room, 35-year old guard Greg Van Roten is of the familiar faces from a year ago.

Clay has the Giants' roster ranked 24th this year. It may seem minimal, but it's a step in the right direction. The defense, based on its talent, is sixth. New York is clearly better positioned talent-wise to have some success this season. The hope is that the talent resuscitates the franchise.
