A customized 1955 Ford COE went under the hammer earlier in May but didn't leave with a new owner, despite someone willing to pay $80,000 for it.

According to Classic.com, this overlooked Ford can be found for an average of $22,578. However, it's not hard to find many used models in the neighborhood of the $5,500 to $7,000 range.

“He’s always fooled with the old Ford trucks,” May Jr. said of his dad. May Jr. owned a 1956 Ford F-100 pickup truck, while May Sr. had a 1953 Ford F-100 panel truck.
