West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey declared a state of emergency for Ohio County. The Ohio County Commission and the City of Wheeling have also declared a local state of emergency.

The “No Kings No Crowns” protests took place across the country, including at the West Virginia State Capitol, where demonstrators exercised their First Amendment rights.
