LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A quick-moving storm caused wind damage in the Louisville area as it barreled through Kentucky and southern Indiana late Wednesday evening. One area that seems to have been hit hardest was J-Town. WHAS11 News has received numerous reports of damaged buildings in the Jeffersontown area.
HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. — According to the National Weather Service, a fourth tornado has been confirmed to hit parts of south Meade County and parts of Hardin County on Sunday. They say the tornado had wind speeds of at least 90 miles per hour and is currently rated at an EF-1.
One of the tornadoes traveled more than 30 miles and had a maximum width of 500 yards, according to the National Weather Service.
Tornados have been reported in at least eight states this week, after powerful storms swept across the country.
The National Weather Service issued 728 tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings in a 24-hour period on Thursday.

WLKY on MSNTornado surveys: 5th confirmed in KentuckyIn all, nine tornado warnings were issued over the course of the swift-moving storm. During their surveys, they will determine whether that damage was the result of a tornado. On Tuesday, they plan to go to Breckinridge County.
Heavy wind damage was reported across western Kentucky and Tennessee, as well as in southern Illinois and Missouri, after an intense storm system made its way across the region late Wednesday.
It's been a long week of severe weather with a major tornado outbreak Wednesday night bringing at least 2 EF3 tornadoes.
