The Toyota RAV4 is long overdue for an overhaul, and the next generation model will bring a new design, a raft of updates, and more hybrid versions.

For the 2026 model year, that level of choice continues – even if it does shift to a heavy dose of electrification. Like numerous other models in Toyota’s roster, every new RAV4 will be a hybrid. The standard hybrid deploys a 2.5L four-cylinder engine and hybrid guts, making 236 horsepower which is a handful more than last year’s hybrid RAV.
