The first tropical storm of the season is likely to form as early as Wednesday, but it's not our coast and not our season.

There are increasing chances that a disturbance off the southern coast of Mexico will strengthen into a tropical storm this week.

Winds will be out of the south-southwest at around 15 to 20 mph. Tropical Storm Warnings have been issued for Brevard, Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Volusia, Flagler, Sumter and Lake counties.
