The Rio Vista Fire Department put out an RV fire that nearly spread to a boat storage facility on Friday night. Just after 11 p.m., crews responded to an RV fire at River Road and Highway 12.

The new engine will respond to structure fires and emergency medical calls once it has been prepared for service by Schell-Vista firefighters.
