West Virginia is still waiting on approval from the federal government for an emergency disaster declaration filed by Gov. Patrick Morrisey (R-WV) earlier this week.

West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey is scheduled to give an update on flooding that has resulted in three confirmed deaths. Three people have been confirmed dead as a result of flooding, including a two-year-old boy.

CHARLESTON — West Virginia emergency response officials are now in day four of response to the weekend flooding in multiple counties in Southern West Virginia, and while progress is being made on opening roadways and reconnecting power,
