Experts at Mount Washington credited the spectacular view to a convenient lack of clouds around the summit and the mountain’s northern latitude.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Space Weather Prediction Center has issued a G4 (severe) geomagnetic storm watch for Monday.
