Staten Island, N.Y. -- Two weeks ago ... Only the strongest structures escaped without sustaining extensive water damage. Buildings were inundated up to 10-feet above street level.

STATEN ISLAND ... but area residents were without water service for several hours. Crews were able to shut off the water, and they are working to assess the damage and make repairs.
