During the Energy and Innovation Summit held at Carnegie Mellon University on Tuesday, President Trump said plans are in the works to build multiple nuclear power plant reactors in Western Pennsylvania to maintain jobs and create a positive economic impact.

Appearing at what is being billed as the first-ever Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit, President Trump praised the commonwealth’s energy sector and trumpeted a series of investments in energy and artificial intelligence that are set to be made across the state.

Google and CoreWeave are investing billions of dollars in artificial-intelligence infrastructure in Pennsylvania. It’s part of an AI summit featuring President Donald Trump as he looks to encourage domestic investment in the state.

The funding sets a new record for private sector funding in the commonwealth, surpassing Amazon’s $20 billion pledge last month.
