Tens of millions of people are at risk of dangerous flash floods in pockets of nearly every region of the contiguous United States Friday, as the nation’s summer of flooding continues.

Forecasters warned more rain and flash flood risk is expected on July 15 after storms flooded out roads the day before.

A zone from the central Plains to parts of the Mississippi and Ohio Valley to the Appalachians will be in the crosshairs of repeated downpours and the likelihood of flash flooding into next week, weather forecasters say.
