The bipartisan U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform sent a letter to Denver Mayor Mike Johnston asking him to testify. Johnston didn't say if he would but criticized Republicans in Congress on immigration.

The Denver mayor says he has "no regrets" about his support for immigrants, but says he'll work with the Trump administration to apprehend violent criminals.

A spokesperson for the mayor's office could not confirm if he plans to testify before Congress on Denver's "sanctuary city" status, and said the mayor is still reviewing the letter from Congress. Denver7's Kristian Lopez reports.
