A man and a woman are dead after a shooting incident Monday night in Monroe County, according to police. State police said in a news release that troopers were called about 10:15 p.m. to the 1100 block of Heritage Boulevard, Hamilton Township, after getting a 911 call from a woman who was crying while a man yelled in the background.

The University of Louisiana Monroe Police Department arrested a suspect who is accused of shooting vehicles on the university’s campus on Wednesday, March 19.A ULM officer said he was patrolling near DeSiard St.

Police say the shooter was identified as a 33-year-old man from the Monroe area. Multiple charges are being pursued.
