Following a high of around 60 degrees Sunday morning, temperatures are expected to drop below freezing in the evening, according to the National Weather Service. And with wind chill, the weather service says it can feel frigid by mid-afternoon and plunge into the low teens Sunday night.

A major cold front is expected to hit the Metroplex starting Sunday, bringing the coldest air of the season. Temperatures will drop to the 20s with wind chills in the teens by Monday morning. Highs next week will only reach the upper 30s to low 40s.

After a mild Saturday, residents in North Texas will wake up to the coldest air of the season starting Sunday, with wind chills dipping into the teens and single digits.
