For DFW, the chance for storms will likely be around lunchtime, which will unfortunately impact any grilling plans and outdoor activities.

Some parts of northeastern Texas could see a month's worth of rain in only two or three days this week as persistent thunderstorms dump heavy precipitation across the area.

A spring filled with rain across Texas' most populated areas will continue through the end of the week, and some areas of the Lone Star State are even looking at the potential for flash flooding and severe storms Wednesday and Thursday.
