The lawsuit claims Aurora SWAT officer Michael Dieck’s fatal shooting of Kilyn Lewis was unreasonable and violated multiple constitutional protections.

A man was critically injured after being shot in the chest Tuesday night in North Amityville, Suffolk police said. Around 11:15 p.m., a 38-year-old man was sitting in a parked vehicle on Walnut Road when he was struck in the chest by a gunshot. The man, who was not identified by police, was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.

A teenage boy shot late Tuesday night in Sacramento’s Meadowview neighborhood has died, authorities said. The shooting happened just before 10:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Coral Gables Court, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
