Thousands of residents in Porter Ranch and Granada Hills are without water due to a failed valve at a DWP pump station. A boil water notice is in effect, and the Los Angeles Fire Department has pre-deployed resources to the area due to fire concerns during a heatwave.

After several days without water, service has finally been restored for thousands of customers in Granada Hills and Porter Ranch, but restrictions are still in effect.
