Aurora Phelps, a 43-year-old woman from Las Vegas, is accused of orchestrating a deadly romance scam. Masquerading as a caring companion on dating apps, Phelps allegedly lured elderly men, only to later drug and rob them.

Aurora Phelps​ was indicted in Nevada over a series of romance scams that allegedly led to at least two deaths and one disappearance in Mexico.

A Las Vegas woman, Aurora Phelps, has been charged in a 21-count superseding indictment for using dating apps to lure, drug and kill older men to access their money. She is accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars in the 'romance scam on steroids.

Aurora Phelps is being accused of drugging several elderly men and stealing their financial information, according to court records. The woman is being linked to at least two deaths and one disappearance.

The 43-year-old is currently in custody in Mexico and is facing 21 charges, including wire fraud and identity theft

The agency described the scheme as one of the most nefarious it has encountered, with nearly a dozen known victims and potentially more unidentified.
