Jaccob Slavin scored the go-ahead goal to lift the Carolina Hurricanes over the Florida Panthers 3-1 on Thursday night. Florida's Anton Lundell tied it at the beginning of the second before Slavin got one past Sergei Bobrovsky with about seven minutes left in the third.

Brayden Point scored with less than a minute left in the game to lift the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 3-2 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes and ended the Lightning’s four-game losing streak.

TAMPA – Brayden Point scored with 52 seconds remaining in the third period to lift the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 3-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes. Point took a centering pass from Nikita Kucherov along the right-side boards in the low slot and beat Hurricanes goalie Pyotr Kochetkov with a snap shot from close range.
