Darrion Williams will officially not be returning to Texas Tech basketball after committing to NC State. What this means for the Red Raiders.

Darrion Williams, who averaged 15.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists last season, announced his transfer to NC State where he will spend his senior season with new Wolfpack coach Will Wade. He declared for the NBA draft while maintaining his college eligibility and also entered the transfer portal in early April.

Williams, a first-team all-Big 12 selection, chose the Wolfpack over KU, Ohio State, BYU and a return to Texas Tech. He visited KU this past week. Meanwhile, Dame Sarr, a 6-foot-7 wing from Italy who also recently visited KU’s campus, on Thursday committed to Duke.
