NiJaree Canady and the 12th-seeded Texas Tech Red Raiders will make their Women's College World Series debut against the Ole Miss Rebels on Thursday night at Devon Park in Oklahoma City. Canady was voted national Pitcher of the Year on the inaugural USA TODAY Sports Network All-American softball team after leading the Red Raiders with a 30-5 record,

Oklahoma (50-7, 17-7) swept its Super Regional games against Alabama 3-0 and 13-2 (5 inn.) for its 18th appearance in Oklahoma City.

In the double elimination format, the Texas softball team will try and reach the championship series for the third time in four years.
